| RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
- Records and preserves all documents pertaining to Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Powers of Attorney, Federal Tax Liens, Military Discharges, Uniform Commercial Codes, etc.
- Serves as Clerk of Chancery Court receiving, filing and maintaining all papers related to divorces, adoptions, commitments, estates, guardianships, land matters conservatorships, minor’s settlements, and child support/custody matters.
- Serves as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, keeping and preserving minutes of Board meetings.
- Serves as County Treasurer and County Auditor.
- Collects and disburses all prior year delinquent taxes after the Tax Collector’s tax sale which is held the last Monday in August.
