Phone Numbers, or any other "private"
information.

** All files are zipped and contain a .CSV (Comma Separated Variable) file, a
TXT file describing each field. The Comma Separated Variable format was
selected since it is easily integrated into a spreadsheet or database system.
Each file is sorted by Precinct then by either Name (for the Mailing file)
or by Street Address (for the Street Address file). For further information
on the file format, contact the IT Department for details. These files are
zipped for a faster download, they can be unzipped by using a utility

CSV is a common format for database importing. It's easily imported into any common database program.
This is not a Microsoft Excel file, and although, Excel will open a CSV file it may not import all the records.
Please check your database software to determine if your software will support large database files.
We recommend using any type of database software that has a virtually unlimited maximum record count.
