The Information Technology Department provides the computer hardware and software support to the employees of Rankin County's many diverse departments. The department works in conjunction with County departments to provide comprehensive data processing and telecommunications services using the latest technology and high speed connectivity.

As a service to the taxpayers of Rankin County along with other institutions, IT handles requests for information pertaining to public records. Public records include, but are not limited to: land rolls, personal property rolls, mass appraisal information, inventory maps in AutoCAD DWG or DXF format, mobile home roll, and voter registration rolls. Most maps may now be downloaded from the Tax Assessors page. Additionally, various data may be obtained by the drop down menus labeled "Download Services" on each departments page.

All other data requests are considered custom reports. They must be in writing and submitted to the County Administrator. These custom requests will be reviewed within 15 days and a quotation for the work will be given. Please submit your request to the following address:
