How do I prepare my garbage and what time do I put it out? |
 |
All waste must be placed in containers or bags no greater than 35 gallons in capacity. Containers or bags should not weigh more than 50 lbs. All waste must be out by 7am and placed within 5 feet of the curb in front of the residential unit being serviced. Containers larger than 35 gallons in capacity may be used if waste is placed in bags and tied. |

How do I prepare my yard waste? |

All yard waste myst be in bags, container, bundled and placed at the curb. All yard waste will be collected in the 2nd service day. Tree trimmings and branches must be cut to lengths of no longer than five (5) feet and be no greater than eight (8) inches in diameter and not weighting more than sixty (60) pounds. Yard waste and tree trimmings must be placed directly on the curb in the same location as your household garbage. Grass clippings, leaves and pine straw must be bagged or containerized. Limbs cut by tree services will not be collected. The tree service is responsible for removal. |

Does Waste Management cllect Hazardous waste such as motor oil, gasoline, paint and paint cans? |

No, Waste Management does not collect hazardous waste, but we will collect empty paint cans if lids are removed and all contents are dry. |

How do I dispose of large appliances such as a stove, dishwasher, washing machine or dryer? What about large furniture such as a couch, mattress or box springs? |

These will be picked up by Waste Management as part of our contract for an additional cost. Call 601-922-9647 with any questions or to schedule a collection. You may also take your large items to 1710 Marquette Road for disposal. |

How do I dispose of refrigerators, air conditioner units, freezers or other appliances with refrigerant systems? |
 |
You must first have the Freon removed by a certified techican. The unit(s) must be tagged showing cerification removal. Once the Freon has been properly removed, call our Customer Service Department at 601-922-9647 to schedule collection and service charges. |

Where are the Recycle Locations? |
 |
There are currently two recycle locations. One is located at 1710 Marquette Road and the other is located on Spillway behind the Reservoir Fire Department. |

What recyclables may I take to the County designated collection areas? |
 |
PET 1 Plastics, Newsprint and Aluminum. |
