The Rankin County Justice Court Judges and Clerk's office are committed to provide quality services with fairness, integrity and professionalism in an expeditious and timely manner for the citizens of Rankin County.
The Justice Court Judges are committed to providing outstanding services for all citizens in a fair and impartial manner. The clerk's office seeks to provided equal access to justice, to improve public confidence in the courts by providing prompt, courteous service, accessibility and to exercise case management practices designed to facilitate the fair and timely disposition of cases.
The Justice Court Clerk's office is to effectively serve the public by processing civil actions not to exceed $3,500.00 and misdemeanor criminal charges in accordance with section 9-11-11 of the Mississippi Code.
Rankin County has four Justice Court Judges each of whom are elected by judicial district but have county-wide jurisdiction. The Judges handle jury and non-jury criminal cases and jury and non-jury civil cases and they are authorized to perform weddings in the county. ALL JUSTICE COURT CASES ARE ASSIGNED TO JUDGES BY COMPUTER ROTATION.

Justice Court Clerk
The Justice Court Clerk is appointed by the Rankin County Board of Supervisors.
Constables
Constables are elected from their perspective districts, and have county-wide jurisdiction. They have the authority to serve civil process and make arrests throughout Rankin County.
