General Property Rules

  • Warning: All packages are subject to processing and search for contraband and prohibited items when they are received.
  • Personal hygiene items will be furnished by the jail.
  • Envelopes can be ordered from the commissary.
  • New inmates can receive ONE mailed-in package of allowable items within the first 7 days of being booked into the jail.
  • After the first 7 days, they can receive ONE package of allowed items every THREE months (90 days).
  • Property and vehicle releases can only be done Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. You must bring a government-issued ID for all property releases!
  • No Bibles - The jail Chaplain will issue Bibles upon request from the inmate.
  • All clothing items must be white or off-white with no buttons, zippers, or pockets.

Allowable Items

You are permitted to send up to the number given for each item in any mail-in package. These are the only allowable items:

Three (3) – Pairs of underwear. Briefs or boxers are allowed. Panties (no lace) are allowed for females.

Three (3) – T-Shirts – short sleeve only. No sleeveless shirts (muscle shirts/tank tops or others) will be allowed.

Three (3) – Pairs of socks.

Three (3) – Pairs of thermal underwear.

Three (3) – Sports bras (with no underwire) are allowed for females.

One (1) – Pack of loose-leaf notebook paper.

Twenty-five (25) – Post Cards (metered or blank).

Three (3) – Pictures or photographs (no larger than 8.5" x 11" in dimensions).

Three (3) – Elastic Hair Ties.

Other Information

Mail and Postcards: Inmates housed in our facility may receive postcards only. Letters and post that arrive in an envelop will be marked "Return to Sender" and rejected.
