or come register in the Circuit Clerk's office.  Deadline is October 7th.

Results will be posted live on our website after the polls close.

Absentee Voting

Dates: September 23, 2024 - November 2, 2024
Hours: M-F from 8am - 5pm until 
Saturday Dates:  October 26, 2024 - 8am until noon
                         November 2, 2024 - 8am until noon

Location:  215 E Government Street located in the Justice Center in Downtown Brandon

United States President / Vice President
United States Congress, District 3
Mississippi Supreme Court Justice, District 1
Special Election County Court Judge, Place 2
Rankin County School Board, District 3 & 4
Election Commissioners, District 1, 3 & 5

How can I vote absentee?

To vote absentee you must qualify.  The top reasons you may vote absentee:  Disabled, Over the age of 65, Out of the County, Out of the Country, Student away at college, temporarily disabled such as a medical procedure, or work hours prevent you from voting 7am until 7pm.  

Visit the Circuit Clerk's office 45 days in advance of every election to vote in-house.

To request a ballot be mailed to you, call the Circuit Clerk's office and request a ballot.  To qualify for a mail ballot, you must be over 65, disabled, military stationed away, out of town or country, or a student away at campus.  Please note, that ballots must be mailed to away addresses.  You still have to by law, get your ballot signature notarized.  

Mail ballots must be post marked by election day and received in the Circuit Clerk's office no later than 5 days from the election. 

Can I vote if I'm military or a citizen living overseas?  

Yes, you must have a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) on file.  The link is

Fill out the FPCA and email it to [email protected].  The application is good for all elections in a year and expires end of the calendar year.  Deadline to file the FPCA is October 26, 2024.

Can I vote curbside due to a disability?

Yes, our office staff will be more than happy to curbside vote our constituents.  Please come the first couple of weeks and send someone into our office with your photo id.  If you drive, please give us a call.
