2020 Census Details and Frequently Asked Questions

The Rankin County Board of Supervisors encourages all citizens of Rankin County to participate in the taking of the 2020 Decennial Census which will be conducted by the federal government beginning in March 2020.  By participating in the census, Rankin County citizens will make it possible for Rankin County to (1) achieve accuracy in the count of our population, (2) assist the county in qualifying for state and federal grant funding, (3) help to establish a proper basis for determining federal, state and local legislative apportionment, and (4) assist in determining jurisdictional boundaries related to constituent representation.
